Used Uniform Sales

Description:

The CPO collects, inventories, manages, and sells used uniforms.

When parents donate used uniforms to the school through the front office, they are given to the CPO to inventory and sell back to other families at our regular sales. Proceeds from the sale of the uniforms are used by the CPO within the guidelines of our Bylaws, such as staff appreciation, grants, and the end of year party.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming clothing inventory.
  • Organize volunteers to help sort, launder, and sell uniforms.
  • Schedule sales throughout the year.
  • Run sales with other volunteers.
  • Remove damaged clothing from circulation.

Current Used Uniform Process (subject to change):

Coordinators are encouraged to make each program their own and run it in the most efficient way possible within the guidelines of our Bylaws and with the approval of the board.

Typically, when used uniforms arrive, they are laundered by volunteers, labeled by size, gender, and type, and then put into our inventory system at the school.

Sales are scheduled about 3 or 4 times a year, but the coordinator may choose to run more sales if they choose.

Sales consist of bringing out the inventory to the approved location at the school, setting up the inventory on the tables, letting parents browser the clothing, collecting money for the sale of the clothing, putting the clothes back away in an organized way at the end of the sale, counting money with 3 people, locking up the inventory.

Staff Appreciation

Description:

Once a month, the CPO likes to give back to our great teachers and staff! In the past we have provided coffee, gift cards, prepared lunches, desserts, and more. If you have great ideas as to how we can give back to our teachers, this would be the perfect program for you to volunteer!

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Prepare or organize the staff appreciation event each month.
  • Work with volunteers to run the events.
  • A budget is provided by the CPO.

Triple Play Night

Current Coordinator: NONE

Description:

Every few months we have a “Triple Play Night” where Triple Play allows us to sell tickets to our students, their friends, their families, and anyone who arrives at the door, then we get a percentage of the profits depending on the number of tickets we sell. This is usually a very good fundraiser for the CPO.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Sell tickets for about 3 hours at Triple Play the night of the event.
  • Chaperone the event by walking around.
  • Coordinate with Triple Play the next night the event will happen.
  • Get posters from Triple Play before the event and put them up around the school.
  • Speak with the school about announcing the event in the daily emails.

Lunch Snack Table and Vending

Description:

The CPO manages the vending machine in the school as well as a daily snack table where snacks are sold to students at lunch time. This is a very popular service and a great fundraiser.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory that needs to be purchased (Costco, Fred Meyers, etc)
  • Keep track of inventory in the snack closets.
  • Restock the vending machine.
  • Keep the vending machine operating and clean.
  • Sell snacks at lunch times.
  • Count money with or for the treasurer.

Note that these programs require many hands. We always need multiple people counting money together, and we need multiple people at the tables selling snacks and handling the money for checks and balances. We will not operate these programs unless we have at least 2 people helping with every aspect of these programs.

End of Year Picnic

Description:

Every year there is a big end-of-the-year celebration, and currently this has been a picnic at the school where the students have the afternoon to spend with their friends, have a hot dog and snacks, and participate in some games and events.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Assist the activities director in setting up the event.
  • Preparing snacks and food.
  • Helping prepare and hand out hot dogs.
  • Chaperone
  • Set up and Clean up

Student Lunch Program

Description:

This is a program designed to provide free lunches to students who need them. Please contact the school directly if you need to discreetly arrange for a lunch for your child through the CPO. The lunches consist of pre-packaged food items that the CPO purchases and prepares daily. This is a first-come first-serve program and we have a limited budget, but we aim to help if we can.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory in the snack closets for the lunches.
  • Purchase inventory if needed.
  • Prepare the daily lunches required by the students.
